Defensive advantage is huge in this game.
Scouting enemy troop movements so that you're prepared for when they strike. This works really well late-game for setting up things like Plague of Brigands or other siege tactical spells. Plant one concealed unit inside an enemy's city domain to give them a happiness penalty. There are a lot of good ways to use the stealth. If so, that makes the rogue spell to conceal the defending units in your cities pointless. For instance:Ī) I read that once a single independent sees you, all independents map wide know where that unit is and remain aware even when your unit goes back into concealment. I've been reading up but some threads are from 2014 and i don't know what info is still up to date or has now altered due to official patches.
So is stealth on the strategic map simply offering scouting and units serving as mobile watchtowers? Attacked units don't suffer -3 defence because they were 'ambushed'.
